A dinner out or one ordered in for Thanksgiving can be a wonderful option for time-squeezed families who would rather spend time socializing than slaving over a hot stove putting together a big deal.
If that’s you, fear not, here are 8 places for your sit-down or take-out turkey dinner.
The Red Apron is a favourite for its home-delivered and take-home meals. Touting its “Gobble Gobble Goodness”, Thanksgiving options include beef & Berkshire (pork) pie, sweet potato, goat cheese & mushroom lasagna or a full turkey dinner with all the trimmings to serve 12.
Elgin Street Diner
It’s always a great atmosphere at the diner and Thanksgiving is no different. They don’t have any details on their site, but you can be sure there will be a turkey dinner special on Thanksgiving weekend, and it will likely be available for pickup, but not for delivery. 1 Elgin, NAC
The name may have changed — the former Le Café is now called 1 Elgin — but the delicious holiday meals have not! Staff at 1 Elgin will prepare your turkey dinner and have it warm and ready for pick-up on Thanksgiving Day.
There are several full meals to choose from, including ham, turkey and meals for four to 12 people. All you have to decide is how many dishes and how many you’re serving.
If you’re based in the west end, there’s always the full turkey meal prepared by NeXT. Meals serve up to 10 and are available either the Sunday or Monday of Thanksgiving weekend.
There are several options to choose from on Epicuria’s holiday menu, from main courses to side dishes, soups and desserts. Mix and match and make up your favourites.
Grill Forty One
For a dining in experience, the restaurant at the Lord Elgin is offering a special four-course Thanksgiving weekend dinner for $49 a person.
A popular west-end option, Brookstreet is holding a Thanksgiving brunch on Sunday, Oct. 13. Alternatively, you can order a full turkey dinner for pickup.
